SoftWare Freedom Day

Software Freedom Day is a global, grassroots effort to educate the public about the importance of software freedom and the virtues and availability of Free and Open Source Software. Local teams from all over the world organise events on the third Saturday in September. The most recent event involved over 200 teams from all over the world.

Hi Samer, is there any starting local team for "software freemdom day" in Egypt yet. If not, let's start one. what do you think about that? we can do some really useful activity like awareness sessions and more.

No need to be sophisticated. In fact there's two people who are already interested that makes a small team to start with...

The most important thing to do is to distribute CD

Spending one day on the corner of the street and distribute CDs with GNU/linux

"soft ware freedom day" is a great idea, I'll be happy to be a volunteers in the team. Awareness sessions is a good idea. What about test feast for live CDs ?
